Ceramic fiber board is a rigid thermal insulation material used in industrial furnaces, furnace doors and high-temperature equipment. It can be cut and shaped; the appropriate temperature class and density are selected according to application conditions.
Catalog information
The catalog specifies classification temperatures of 1260°C and 1430°C and density options of 300–350 kg/m³. Classification temperature is not the same as continuous operating temperature.
Where is ceramic fiber board used?
For businesses seeking furnace insulation boards, we assess options for furnace walls, roofs and doors, boiler and heater insulation and refractory backup insulation according to application temperature. Share project dimensions and operating temperature to receive a quotation for a suitable board.
Stocked ceramic fiber board dimensions
We stock ceramic fiber boards measuring 1200 × 1000 mm in thicknesses of 10 mm, 25 mm and 50 mm. Confirm current quantities and temperature class at the quotation stage.
Applications
Industrial furnace walls, roofs and doors; boilers and heaters; refractory backup insulation. Product suitability is assessed according to application conditions.
Information to provide for a quotation
Board dimensions, thickness, density, operating temperature and application. You may also send a technical drawing or application photograph, if available.

Applications using this product
Rigid board structure and machinability
Ceramic fiber boards gain their rigid structure by forming a mixture of fibers and binder. They are considered for details requiring greater shape retention than flexible blanket. Cutting and drilling must use equipment appropriate to the product structure. Organic binder in some types may burn off during initial heating; the commissioning schedule is determined according to manufacturer instructions.
Load bearing and surface strength
Rigidity does not mean that a board can carry every type of mechanical load. Compressive strength, abrasion, exposure to gas flow and support arrangement must be checked. Thermal shock and shrinkage data are assessed according to the operating cycle. An upper protective layer for load-bearing floors is designed separately.
Checking the technical data sheet and product grade
Classification temperature is not continuous operating temperature. The current technical data sheet and safety data sheet for the product to be supplied take precedence. Thermal conductivity and shrinkage values are assessed together with test conditions.
