Vacuum forming for specific geometries
Application-specific components can be prepared by forming ceramic fibers on a mold with suitable binders and additives. Geometries that cannot be obtained by cutting a simple board require mold design. Fiber grade and additives are determined according to the component's operating conditions.
Technical drawing and tolerance requirements
Internal and external dimensions, wall thickness, hole positions, tolerances and mounting surfaces must be shown on the drawing. Low heat storage and machinability are properties considered in this product group; actual strength and shrinkage values depend on the composition to be manufactured. Surface protection is assessed separately if required.
Checking the technical data sheet and product grade
Classification temperature is not continuous operating temperature. The current technical data sheet and safety data sheet for the product to be supplied take precedence. Thermal conductivity and shrinkage values are assessed together with test conditions.
