Fe-Cr-Al Resistance Wire
Request the technical datasheet by email.

FeCrAl wire is an iron-chromium-aluminum alloy resistance heating wire. This wire group, used in electric heating applications, is selected according to alloy grade and element design. Products in round wire or strip form must not be assumed to have identical technical properties.
Technical selection and application
Heating wire selection assesses wire diameter, resistance per unit length, surface loading, operating atmosphere and temperature cycles together. The alloy's permissible wire temperature differs from furnace operating temperature. Exact temperature and resistivity values must be taken from the technical data sheet for the grade to be supplied.
European-origin heating wires
We use European-origin Fe-Cr-Al wires in our heating element applications. The appropriate wire grade is determined according to diameter, operating atmosphere, element design and required temperature. We can assess wire selection and winding requests using your technical drawings and operating conditions.
Alloy grade and product form
Fe-Cr-Al is a family of iron-based ferritic alloys. Chromium, aluminum and additional alloying element contents vary by grade. Round wire, flat wire or strip forms are considered for industrial furnace elements. Different grades within the same family may have different temperature limits and resistivities at 20°C.
Conditions affecting wire life
Wire temperature, diameter, temperature cycles, surface condition, operating atmosphere and mechanical stresses affect service life. Product selection must not be based solely on the catalog's maximum temperature rating.
