Refractory Castable Anchors

We manufacture anchors from 304 and 310 grade stainless steel to the requested technical drawings and dimensions. We prepare project-specific connection and fastening solutions for refractory castable systems used in iron and steel plants, cement factories and heavy industry.
How do they contribute to refractory castable integrity?
Anchors help mechanically connect refractory castable to the metal casing and hold it in place. They help maintain structural integrity under the castable's own weight and thermal effects during operation. Appropriate design and installation are important in reducing the risks of local separation and falling material.
Anchors alone do not determine the material strength of the castable. Refractory castable properties, casing design, anchor arrangement, application quality and drying schedule must be assessed together.
Selecting 304 and 310 grade stainless steel
Material grade must not be selected solely according to the furnace's maximum temperature. Metal temperature at the anchor location, operating atmosphere, oxidation conditions and temperature cycles are considered. 304 and 310 have different alloy properties; the grade and material specification stated in the project take precedence. They must not be used interchangeably without confirming suitability.
Custom manufacturing to technical drawings
Requests for anchors in different shapes, lengths and cross sections can be considered according to intended use. Manufacturing is prepared to the dimensions, bend angles, connection configuration and tolerances shown in the drawing. Connection details for multilayer insulation and refractory castable systems are clarified together with the application design.
Applications
- Suitable refractory castable applications in iron and steel plants
- Furnaces and high-temperature equipment in cement factories
- Furnaces, boilers and hot gas ducts in heavy industry
- Refractory castable repair and refurbishment projects
