PU-coated fabric is produced by applying a polyurethane coating to woven fiberglass. It is used to simplify fabrication and improve the fabric's durability in valve jacket manufacturing.
Technical specifications
| Property | Information |
|---|---|
| Catalog product types | G1 – G2 |
| Base fabric | Catalogue: 430 g glass fibre; confirm the area basis. |
| Coating options | Catalogue: 30 g or 50 g PU; confirm the area basis. |
| PU coating temperature | Up to 180 °C in the catalog; this must not be confused with the fiberglass temperature resistance. |
Product selection considers operating temperature, contact duration, coating and application conditions. Stock quantities for the required dimensions, color and coating option are confirmed at the quotation stage.
Applications
Valve jackets and industrial insulation jacket manufacturing.
Selecting PU-coated fiberglass fabric
For valve jacket outer fabric, coating weight, sewing method and ambient conditions are assessed together. The temperature limit of the polyurethane coating differs from the resistance of the base fiberglass. Share the temperature of the surface where it will be used and the required coating type to ask about a suitable option.
